We’re home! Chris and I touched down at London Heathrow on Friday morning after a bumpy 6 hour flight from New York. His parents had arranged a car to pick us up, and once we were reunited with our luggage we were whisked off into the Bank Holiday motorway chaos. Three hours to do a one and a half hour journey into Hampshire, yay. But we made it and we’ve been relaxing with our families over the Easter weekend. Today we’re relaxing at home in London, having brunch at one of our favourite local spots, mentally preparing ourselves for going back to work tomorrow, and making plans for our next big adventure… selling our house… but more on that story when I’m less jet-lagged and dazed.
For me obviously one of the biggest excitements is being reunited with my sewing machine. I can’t even express how excited I am about this, especially because I have several kilos of fabric from my travels that is just begging to be used. I have a long list of projects planned, and I can’t wait to get back into a regular cycle of sewing blogging. Speaking of which, I have an amazingly exciting post all ready to go up on Wednesday – watch this space! And I will continue to write about my travel escapades over the next few weeks, because taking this trip is one of the best things I have ever done and I want to make sure that I have a record of everything.
Right, the mountain of laundry is calling to me, so I shall catch y’all on Wednesday. Laters!
